Young people from across Belfast will gather to explore issues of environmental care and community stewardship of earth’s resources. Working in mixed groups, participants will have opportunities to discuss both the beauty and brokenness of our city and consider realistic steps that can be taken to address the challenges it faces.

For many developing countries, including the least developed countries, small island developing states, countries in Africa and middle-income countries, tourism is a major source of income, foreign currency earnings, tax revenue and employment. Because tourism connects people with nature, sustainable tourism has the unique ability to spur environmental responsibility and conservation.
The session will be run by Dr Ellen Howley and Dr Cormac Cleary from Dublin City University’s Institute for Climate and Society, with participation from climate scientists from the Co-Centre for Climate + Biodiversity + Water.
