We’re delighted to share that plans are already underway for this year’s Season of Creation
The Season of Creation is an annual Christian observance that takes place from September 1st to October 4th. It is a time when Christians around the world come together to pray, reflect, and take action on caring for the environment and addressing ecological concerns. The observance begins on the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation (September 1st) and concludes on the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi (October 4), the patron saint of ecology in the Catholic tradition. The Season encourages prayer, education, and advocacy for environmental stewardship. Read more about the Season of Creation » More events. Tone of the issues we ‘re focussing on is the relationship between climate justice and economics. As Pope Francis reminds us, we cannot separate the plight of the planet from the issue of poverty.
To explore this connection, we’re collaborating with the Economy of Francesco – an international network inspired by Pope Francis that brings together young economists, entrepreneurs, and changemakers committed to building an economy that is inclusive, sustainable, and life-giving. We’re grateful that the Economy of Francesco UK have recently shared news about our initiative on their website:

A highlight was the Celebration of Difference event held in St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast, captured beautifully in the photo shared by the EOF: people of diverse backgrounds coming together in hope. In the current context of rising racism and division here in Northern Ireland, it feels all the more important to keep creating spaces where difference is not feared, but celebrated as a gift.
We’ll share more details soon about this year’s programme. Until then, let’s keep joining the dots – between faith, creation, justice, and each other. 🌱✨
