People’s Emergency Briefing: A Community Conversation on Climate and Nature
What do climate change and the nature crisis mean for our everyday lives? How are they affecting our weather, food, health and cost of living? And what can we do about it?
Greenpeace Belfast is inviting people from across the community to a special free screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing on Wednesday 1 July, from 7.00–9.00 pm, at the North Belfast Quakers Meeting House, 45 Frederick Street, Belfast.
The 50-minute film brings together leading UK scientists and experts to present the latest evidence on the climate and nature emergencies and their impact on society. Based on the National Emergency Briefing presented at Westminster and featured by major UK media outlets, the film includes contributions from well-known figures including Chris Packham and Deborah Meaden.
Following the screening, there will be time to share ideas and explore practical solutions and reflect on the challenges facing decision-makers today.
The event is free and open to everyone. Attendees are encouraged to bring friends, neighbours and family members. Advance booking is requested to help organisers plan attendance.
