Join the Global Day of Climate Action – 15 November in Belfast

As the world turns its eyes to the upcoming COP30 climate summit in Brazil, communities everywhere are stepping up.

On Saturday 15 November, a Global Day of Action will bring people together in solidarity for climate justice.

In Belfast, we’ll gather at 1.00 pm in Writers’ Square, ready to march, speak out and show that Northern Ireland is ready to play its part.

COP30 (10–21 November 2025) is a milestone moment for global climate policy and action. The Global Day of Action gives us an opportunity to link local voices with global demands: for stronger climate commitments, for justice for those already impacted, and for an economy that works both for people and planet.
As part of the wider network of action groups, the Belfast March will amplify the message: “We’re watching. We care. We act.”

What to expect:

A peaceful gathering at Writers’ Square at 1 pm

Speeches from local climate-justice organisations, youth groups and faith communities.

Signs, banners, and a creative atmosphere of hope and demand for change.

An invitation for all: individuals, families, parish groups, student societies, faith-based organisations — everyone is welcome.

How you can get involved now:

Mark the date: Saturday 15 November, 1 pm, Writers’ Square, Belfast.

Spread the word: share this post, invite your friends, community or church group to join.

Prepare a banner or sign with your message: perhaps “Justice for our Common Home”, “Act Now for Climate + Community”, “COP30: Make Them Pay”.

On the day, come with enthusiasm, bring a reusable water bottle, wrap up warm, and be ready to participate with purpose.

Why Northern Ireland’s voice matters:
Small regions like ours often feel distant from global decision-making, but the climate crises affect us all — from rising seas and intense storms, to global supply-chain shocks and displacement. By coming together in Belfast, we align ourselves with communities globally, signalling that the cry of the planet and the cry of the poor are one.

Let’s make this Global Day of Action a true statement of hope and justice. We look forward to seeing you, standing together for our future.
