A significant anniversary of the Creation Care Network

The recent meeting of the Creation Care Network, held at Regent Street Presbyterian Church in Newtownards, marked a significant milestone: the 25th gathering since its inception. When Bertie Stirling, the founder, began these meetings, he was unsure if they would even be of interest, let alone continue for a quarter of a century. Yet, the longevity and growing participation stand as a testament to their value.

The meetings operate on a rotating basis, with a different local church or organization volunteering its premises each time. This creates a powerful sense of shared purpose and provides a space for people to discuss the practical steps they are taking to care for creation within their own church communities.

Attendees share their successes, voice their challenges, exchange information, and announce upcoming events. The latest meeting was a testament to the network’s mission, showcasing a wide array of initiatives
