John Barry – Professor of Green Political Economy, Queens University Belfast John Barry is a father, a political activist, recovering politician, trades unionist and Professor of Green Political Economy in the Centre for Sustainability, Equality and Climate Action at Queens University Belfast. What keeps him awake at night is the life opportunities and future wellbeing of his and other children in this age of the planetary emergency and intersecting social and economic injustices within and between countries.

 

 

 

Anna Byrne DC – Eco-Congregation Ireland Anna Byrne, from Kilkenny is Daughter of Charity of St Vincent de Paul. Anna worked in St Louise’s Comprehensive College Belfast. She now lives in Dublin and is a Catholic representative on the Eco-Congregation Ireland board. Anna is founder member of Ephata, Laudato Si’ a faith based environment group.

 

 

 

Nick Hanrahan Campaigns, Events and Outreach Officer – Trócaire Nick is the Campaigns, Events and Outreach Officer for Trócaire, based in their Belfast office. Nick helps Trócaire’s supporters and the general public to use their voice and campaign for justice, fighting for the political and systemic change we need to see in our world.

 

 

 

 

 

Bertie Stirling – Regional Officer – A Rocha Bertie is Regional Officer in Northern Ireland for A Rocha UK. He also co-ordinates the Creation Care Network in Northern Ireland and has been involved in arranging and speaking at various conferences in creation care. Bertie has held various church leadership positions.

 

 

 

 

 

Finbarr Keaveney – Laudato Si’Animator Finbarr is a singer and father of five from Newcastle, Co Down. He discovered Laudato Si in 2019 after reading it with his Parish Theology group. He is passionate about the ideas of integral ecology. He is currently involved with Parish of Maghera Care for Creation group.
