UN Sustainable Development Goals Champion, Ciara Fitzpatrick to give lecture (Zoom)

Belfast South and Dun Laoghaire Methodist Churches launch their autumn 2024 series, TOWARD THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE WORLD – part of their public engagement program.
The first in the series: Ciara Fitzpatrick will speak on ‘Aspects of Poverty’on September 24.
The second in the series: Gary Mason will address ‘Resolving Conflict’ on October 22.
The third in the series: Geoff Corry with Harold Jeffrey and David Gallagher will introduce ‘Peace Making – Feacle as a case study’ on November 26.
These public engagement seminars are for public and church folk alike. They aim to open up the subtleties of public ethical issues, seeking justice and our common humanity. What resources does our church, our theological, tradition bring to bear on the issues of our time? How do we engage beyond our personal piety?
All events by Zoom. Time 7:30-9:00pm. Ample time for discussion. Johnston McMaster will again moderate.
