Presentation of research that highlights the links between ongoing segregation and division within Belfast and the impact that this has on climate and the environment

18 September 2024 @ 13:0015:00

In April, Belfast City Council approved a piece of research that highlights the links between ongoing segregation and division within Belfast, and the impact that this has on climate and the environment.

We are launching this research as part of Good Relations Week, on Wednesday the 18th September at 2 Royal Avenue, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

The Chair of the Council’s Shared City Partnership, Cllr. Joe Duffy will officially launch the report. In addition, Peter Osborne, the researcher on behalf of the Council, will provide detail on the report and its recommendations while Dr Amanda Slevin, Lecturer in Climate Policy, Politics and Sustainability, and Co-Director of the Centre for Sustainability, Equality and Climate Action, at Queen’s University Belfast will set the report in its wider context.

Refreshments will be available on arrival.

If you would like to attend this event, please email goodrelations@belfastcity.gov.uk putting Research Launch Event in the subject box and detail any dietary requirements that you may have.

Please let us know by Friday 6th of September if you plan on coming along, for catering and numbers purposes.
